TDS seeks a Fiber Specialist to join our Data Center Solutions team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of Low-Voltage Cabling experience. Candidates must be hands-on and willing to travel. We have openings in Northern Virginia, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta and Memphis.
Responsibilities:
- Install Fiber cable in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Understand and be able to follow fiber trunk pull diagrams.
- Troubleshoot faulty fiber optic cable.
- Be proficient in utilizing various testing methods and equipment such as VFL, Power Meter and OTDR.
- Install and maintain network-related hardware.
- Fiber splicing experience a plus.

Executive Assistant

TDS is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and high-energy administrative assistant with one to three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have relevant administrative experience with strong communication, analytical, follow up and attention to detail. We are looking for a go-getter with experience areas that includes new hire set up / onboarding, accounts receivable, project scheduling, and client relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Accounting functions including but not limited to time sheets and invoices
- Assist with client relationship management and help coordinate client social events
- Help plan and coordinate social event with clients and internal teams
- Coordinate meetings as needed (booking conference rooms, teleconferences, catering, etc.)
- Assist with the administration of projects, including acting as scribe and transcribing meeting minutes, making updates to budget and project plans, monitoring job costing sheets, etc.
- Learn billing processes and and assist with monthly invoicing and payroll as needed
- Prepare reports, by collecting and analyzing information using Visio, Power Point, Word, Excel, and Access & SharePoint
- Attend meetings and events, take notes, and coordinate follow up activities and deliverables
- Book and coordinate travel arrangements
Requirements:
- BA / BS degree is preferred, but not required, and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is acceptable
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in an office management, administrative support, HR assistant, or an account payable / accounts receivable (AR / AP) role in a fast paced work environment is required
- Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills, must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables
- Ability to build rapport and successfully interact with executives and clients
- Must have an outgoing personality and be able to help build social camaraderie in the office
- Solid analytical skills possessing the ability to create reports and analyze date using Excel (macros /pivot tables / graphs / charts) is preferred, but training can be provided
- Experience with any of the following QuickBooks, When I Work (or other Employee Scheduling Applications), any ERP systems, Concur, or ADP Workforce Now (or similar HRIS systems) would be preferred

Data Center Technician
TDS seeks a motivated and organized professional to join our Data Center Solutions team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of data center technician experience. Candidates must have some data center support experience including hands-on cabling infrastructure and data center equipment installation experience. We have openings in Northern Virginia, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta and Memphis.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of data center infrastructure including servers, racks, network equipment and related hardware.
- Understand and Install infrastructure cabling.Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting and remediation within the data center.
- Understanding of power and cooling.
- Proficiency utilizing DCIM tools as well as a ticketing system such as ServiceNow® and Jira.
- Fiber testing experience a plus.
- Willing to travel.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be familiar with patching schedules, relevant project documentation and typical hardware install, move, add, change (IMAC) events that take place in a data center. This individual will have the opportunity to grow their career.
